Last trip we had Shaykh Zahid Abdullah who was  the Imam of Al-Farooq Masjid of Atlanta**, one of the oldest and largest Masjid in Atlanta & South East US. He has been the Imam of Al-Farooq Masjid for nearly a decade. A graduate of the Islamic University of Madinah majoring in Shariah, he is fluent in Arabic, English and Urdu. His depth of knowledge & experience makes him amongst the foremost leaders in Atlanta.
His strengths include the ability to bridge gaps between people of all age and ethnicities. His communication skills are well recognized and he is regularly invited to speak at conferences throughout the U.S. Shaykh Zahid is best known for his Qirat (recitation of the Quran). People have been known to travel far and wide to listen to his recitation.
Shaykh Zahid is a great asset for the Atlanta Muslim community and Insha'Allah will be a greater asset for the Atlanta Hajj Group.
Shaykh Zahid Abdullah will be the scholar for Atlanta Hajj Group during the Hajj days.
